Texas has approved a required reading list that includes the Bible. Chris asks the central question: when does education become government-backed religious indoctrination? The Bible is historically, culturally, and literarily important. So are the Quran, Torah, Hindu, Buddhist, and other religious texts that have shaped civilizations. The issue is not whether students should learn about religion. It is whether the government should elevate one faith above the rest.
