The SAVE Act Could Block Millions of Legal Voters
The SAVE Act is being promoted as election integrity legislation, but does it solve a real problem or create a much larger one? Millions of American citizens may not have immediate access to the documents required under the proposed law. Kansas already tested a similar system, and the results were alarming: tens of thousands of voter registrations were blocked while the number of identified noncitizens was microscopic. Election integrity should stop unlawful voting without preventing eligible Americans from exercising their constitutional rights. The SAVE Act fails that test.
